Over his coaching career, Brown was head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies, New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, and Kentucky Colonels (ABA) and Assistant Coach for the Milwaukee Bucks who featured future Hall of Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson but lost in 7 games in the 1974 NBA Championship to the Boston Celtics;
40+ years as an NBA broadcaster on a variety of networks including ABC, ESPN, TNT & CBS ;
played college basketball for Niagara and professionally for the Rochester Colonels
